
The Story
This stunning woodblock print was created by artist Yoshiko Yamamoto. Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, Yamamoto and her husband have studios in both the U.S. and Kamakura, Japan.
Here, she depicts The Huntington’s iconic moon bridge in the Japanese Garden, flanked by a weeping willow tree and swirling Koi fish.
Made by living national treasure Iwano Ichibei, the print is hand-carved and printed on washi using traditional mokuhanga techniques.
Each limited-edition print is signed and numbered by the artist.
